  • Brocade can shrink when wet due to the weaving method.
  • Dry cleaning is always preferred especially for lined or mode delicate items.
  • When hand washing always use cool water and mild detergent.

Tips

  • While Chinese Brocade is beautiful and elegant, it is not the strongest. Lining this fabric is always a good idea with chiffon or organza for example.
  • Stressing the seams too much can also pull especially at the hip area.
  • Steaming is prefered but ironing can be done by protecting the fabric with another layer when ironing.
